Overlooking Bethlehem’s graffiti-filled separation barrier, the Walled Off Hotel, gallery and Palestinian history museum – established by Banksy, British artist and activist – serves as the anchor for this eclectic documentary. It has everything from an animated road trip through the West Bank to clips of an interview with Yasser Arafat. The story weaves together Benjamin Netanyahu’s rise to power, intrigue with the Oslo “peace process,” the assassination of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, the murder of journalist Shireen Abu Akleh, and young Palestinians describing what “freedom” means to them.
